Harbour Town
Harbour Town is pretty much the centerpiece of Hilton Head Island. The Harbour Town lighthouse (Entrance is $1.50 per person) and Harbour Town Marina offer beautiful scenery of Sea Pines, Harbour Town Golf Links, Tybee Island and Daufuskie Island. While climbing the lighthouse stairs, you will get the chance to learn about the history of Sea Pines and the Island. There are also shops and restaurants to enjoy along the way.
Harbour Town Lighthouse
The red and white striped Harbour Town Lighthouse stands at the entrance of the harbor, apart of the Sea Pines Plantation, Hilton Head. Built in 1970, the lighthouse provides a climb for visitors to view the harbor and, as they make their way up, read displays that contain information on the plantation life and general history of the Hilton Head Island. Once reaching the top, visitors can browse the featured shop for nautical gifts and trinkets; and while up there, a panoramic view of the bay, surrounding plantation, and of the town.
Harbour Town Lighthouse Hours of Operation and Admission: 8:00a.m. until Dusk. Admission fee to Sea Pines Plantation is $5 where Harbour Town is located and a $1 fee to tour the Harbour Town Lighthouse.
